What we collect

Contact details you give us: name, business name, email address, phone number and postal address. For accounting, tax, payroll and company administration work, the business and financial records needed to do that work, which can include bank statements, invoices, employee pay details, IRD numbers and Companies Office details. For digital and media work, the content, accounts and access needed to build or maintain what you have asked for.

Why we collect it

To do the work you have engaged us for.
To file returns and documents with Inland Revenue and the Companies Office on your behalf, where you have asked us to.
To contact you about that work, invoices and deadlines.
To meet our own legal and record-keeping obligations.

Who it is shared with

Inland Revenue and the Companies Office, as required to file on your behalf. Software and hosting providers we use to prepare accounts, run payroll, store files and build websites, to the extent needed to do the work. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for marketing.

How it is held

Records are held in the accounting, payroll and file-storage systems the firm uses, with access limited to the people doing the work. We keep client records for as long as the engagement lasts and for the period the law requires afterwards, which for tax records is generally seven years.

Your rights

If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
